Your life on earth
wasn't meant to be
A few short hours
are all we had with thee

Your guardian angel
from Heaven above
Was sent here to earth
to lead you with love

To that beautiful place
where God does reign
And nobody there
has to feel any pain

You were greeted as soon
as you got to the gate
By people who loved you
and knew of your fate

That Jesus had wanted you
sooner than most
To be there beside Him
and be a good host

To help guide others
who need to rest
In that Heavenly Kingdom
that all know is best.

A little angel has left this earth
carried to heaven so gentle and soft
To sit at the table of God above
where he greets her with his sweet love

We never may know the reason why
little ones are taken before their time
But God has his reasons and we must wait
Until our time comes and we go through that gate

We are united once more
with all we have lost
as they come one by one
to meet us at last
